Going Once... Going Twice...
A sponsored project as part of Hasbro's Bring Home the Fun campaign.
I created this fast paced, remotely playable auction game in collaboration with Will Brunner, Kathleen Kholstrom, Daniel DiLorenzo, and Nina Langone.

Project Brief
Work in teams to design your own Hasbro branded party game. Games must be playable both remotely and in person.
Brainstorming
As a class, we used Mural to brainstorm different game names and styles of play.
We looked at popular existing games as well as brainstormed titles for new ones.

One Pagers
Describing concepts briefly
I chose two different ideas to elaborate on: Conspiracy and Ad-Pocalypse.

Narrowing the Scope
Once we had established some concepts we liked, we narrowed them down into groups.
In these groups we explored potential play styles and early game mechanics.

Collector's Edition
Ad-Pocalypse with a twist
After further refining Ad-Pocalypse, we decided the name Collector's Edition fit better.

Refining the Aesthetic
Changing the look and feel of the game
My team and I experimented with different visual styles for the game. We also changed the name to Going Once... Going Twice.... to reflect the auction mechanics of the game.

Mood Board
Getting inspiration for the new aesthetic
I created this mood board, comprised of images of different games, illustrations and cartoons. I was trying to capture a fun and colorful aesthetic.
Thumbnail Sketches
Roughing out the visual direction
In these loose sketches, I quickly explored different packaging concepts for the new direction.
Final Aesthetic Direction
Illustrated Packaging and Cards
My role on the team was to focus on visual assets such as packaging, card design, and pitch decks.
